Tea house (choyxona)

Tea house ordering system: order and call staff straight from the topchan

Plov, shashlik, hookah, a 30-seat family table. Guests open the menu by QR, call the hookah master or the waiter, and settle in cash or via Click. Works with iiko or with laBoard as the POS.

Familiar pains

  • A guest on the outdoor topchan spends 10 minutes looking for a waiter. It is loud inside and nobody hears.
  • The hookah goes out. The guest calls the waiter, the waiter looks for the hookah master. Fifteen minutes vanish in between.
  • On Sunday a family of 40 arrives. The order is on paper and nobody agrees who had what when the bill comes.
  • The shashlik is gone but it is still on the menu. Every table has to be told separately.
  • The till is a notebook and a calculator. The numbers do not add up at night and the owner does not know whom to trust.

What you get

A QR on every table and topchan

Guests open the menu on their own phone and order; the order lands on the POS. The QR is printed once and the address never changes. Works in the rain and in the dust.

Hookah master, waiter or bartender

When calling, the guest picks who they need. Hookah master for the hookah, waiter for tea. laWaiter shows calls only from assigned tables: topchan 12 calls, the person assigned to it comes.

A tablet for the big table

For wedding and family tables, laTable: an iPad sits on the table, everyone adds in turn, all in one order. No paper, no arguments over the bill.

Sold out means gone from the menu

A live stop list: the cashier stops the shashlik and it vanishes from QR and tablets at once. With iiko it comes from there; with laBoard the cashier does it in one tap.

Cash and Click alike

Guests request the bill by QR and mark cash, card or online. The cashier closes the check. Payme, Click, UzQR, laPay are all there. The owner gets every call and payment in Telegram.

The hall works without internet

laBranch runs locally on the POS computer or inside laBoard. laTable and laWaiter connect over Wi-Fi, so orders keep going. The database is encrypted and syncs to the cloud when the internet is back.

Price example

Monthly cost for a 25-table tea house

15 indoor tables + 10 topchans = 25 QR codes. Branch base 500,000 + 25 × 10,000 = UZS 750,000 a month. laWaiter for two waiters: 2 × 100,000 = 200,000 — UZS 950,000 in total. No POS software? laBoard adds 100,000 = UZS 1,050,000 a month. A laTable for the wedding table is 100,000 each.

  • 25 QR codes: UZS 750,000/month
  • 25 QR + 2 laWaiter: UZS 950,000/month
  • 25 QR + 2 laWaiter + laBoard POS: UZS 1,050,000/month

Questions & answers

How much does a QR menu for a tea house cost?

UZS 10,000 a month per table or topchan plus the 500,000 branch base. 25 tables = UZS 750,000 a month. No charge for tables without a QR. Add outdoor topchans in summer, switch them off in winter.

We have no iiko, just a simple till. Will it work?

Yes. laBoard becomes the till: hall view, orders, payments, stop list. The laBranch server runs inside it, and QR and laWaiter connect to it. If you add iiko or r_keeper later, we connect them.

There is no Wi-Fi on the outdoor topchans. Does QR work?

Yes. QR opens over the guest's own mobile data; the venue Wi-Fi is not required. A laTable tablet does need the local network, so it belongs indoors.

What if the internet goes down?

The POS (laBranch) keeps running locally, laTable and laWaiter stay connected over Wi-Fi. The cashier enters orders directly. QR orders from guest phones wait until the internet is back.

Our guests are older and will not order from a phone

That is fine. The waiter takes the order in laWaiter and it lands on the POS too. Younger guests use QR, older ones call the waiter. Both work at the same table.

Why laCafe and not Dastur-xon or BROS?

A small tea house may be fine with Dastur-xon (from UZS 99,000) or BROS ($15 a month); they are cheap. laCafe differs with staff-type calls (hookah master/waiter), iiko and r_keeper support, table tablets, an offline POS, a site on your own domain, and Yandex Eats and Uzum Tezkor.
