UzQR payment: a dynamic QR carrying the order total

A QR is generated for the till order with the amount baked in. The guest scans it with a bank app. laCafe polls the payment status and closes the order when the money lands.

What connects

UzQR is Uzbekistan's unified QR payment standard. Enter the UzQR credentials per branch and laCafe generates a separate (dynamic) QR for every order. Not a static QR taped to the wall: the amount cannot be typed wrong.

  • UzQR credentials per branch
  • Dynamic QR: own code and amount per order
  • Amount taken from the POS order
  • Status polling: laCafe checks on its own

How it works

The guest asks for the bill; the total is 186,000 UZS. laCafe creates a UzQR for that amount and shows it on the laTable or laBoard screen. The guest opens their bank app and scans. laCafe checks the status every few seconds; on 'paid', the order closes in iiko/r_keeper.

  • 1. Bill request
  • 2. Dynamic QR generated for the amount
  • 3. QR shown on laTable or laBoard
  • 4. Guest scans with a bank app
  • 5. laCafe polls the status, sees paid, closes in the POS

What stays in sync

The amount always matches the till order; the guest types nothing. Payment status changes at once on the guest screen, laBoard and admin. The POS keeps UzQR as the payment type and reports show it separately.

  • Amount from the POS, not editable
  • Status: guest, till, admin
  • POS payment type: UzQR

Honest limits

UzQR is for the dining room: the QR is shown on a screen and the guest scans it. For website delivery, use Payme, Click or laPay. Status is polled, so confirmation can lag a few seconds. The fee is per your bank's contract.

  • In the dining room (laTable, laBoard)
  • Confirmation within a few seconds
  • Fee: with your bank

Questions & answers

What is UzQR and how is it different from a plain QR?

UzQR is the unified payment QR standard supported by Uzbek banks. In laCafe it is dynamic: each order gets its own code with the amount inside. The guest types no amount, so no mistakes.

Which app does the guest pay with?

Any bank app that supports UzQR. The guest installs nothing extra.

How fast is the payment confirmed?

laCafe polls the status every few seconds. Usually the tablet shows 'paid' a few seconds after the guest's phone does.

Does UzQR work for website delivery?

UzQR is for the dining room, where the QR is shown on a screen. For the website, enable Payme, Click or laPay.

If the internet goes down?

Creating the QR and polling need the internet. The order stays in laBranch and the guest pays cash or by terminal.

What is the fee?

The UzQR fee is in your contract with your bank. laCafe takes no cut of the payment.
