Automatic discounts: write the rule once, the cashier never has to remember

Monday to Friday, 11:00 to 15:00, business lunch 20% off. The rule fires on its own on the site, the QR menu and the tablet. When several match, the guest gets the best one.

What a rule is made of

Each rule has four parts. Which product or products. The discount: a percent or a fixed amount. Days of the week. A time window within the day. Switch the rule on and the guest already sees the discounted price with the old one struck through.

  • Per product: one dish or several
  • Percent (–15%) or amount (–UZS 10,000)
  • Weekday plus hours: for example, Tuesday 17:00–19:00
  • When two rules match, the biggest saving wins; discounts do not stack

A shashlik house: Tuesday evenings are dead

The owner writes two rules. First: all shashlik, Tuesday and Wednesday, 17:00 to 20:00, 20% off. Second: lamb shashlik, every day, 18:00 to 19:00, UZS 10,000 off. On Tuesday at 18:30 lamb shashlik (45,000) matches both. 20% is 9,000; the flat amount is 10,000. The guest pays 35,000, the bigger saving wins. The cashier calculated nothing.

Where it works and where it does not

Rules work in the channels where the guest orders on their own: website (laGuestWeb), QR menu (laQR), table tablet (laTable). The discounted price is computed and sent to the register. Unlike cashback and promo codes, nothing is manual here; everything is worked out at order time.

  • Not applied on the kiosk, in laMenu, or on aggregators (Yandex Eats, Uzum Tezkor)
  • Rules are organization-wide, not per branch

Questions & answers

Can a discount apply only at certain hours?

Yes. Every rule has weekdays and a time window. A Monday to Friday 11:00 to 15:00 business lunch is one rule.

What happens when two discounts hit the same dish?

They do not stack. The rule that saves the guest the most applies; the rest are ignored.

Does the discount show in iiko?

The order arrives at the register with the discount already applied. POS accounting is untouched: laCafe passes the order on top of iiko or r_keeper, it does not replace them.

Does the cashier need to apply it manually?

No. Automatic discounts are computed at order time. Manual application is only for cashback and promo codes, which are being automated soon.

Do the rules work on Yandex Eats or Uzum Tezkor?

No. Aggregators receive the menu and prices; discount rules run only in your own channels: site, QR, tablet.
