laCafe — how the three iOS apps work

laCafe is a restaurant platform, not a consumer app. All three iOS apps talk to the laCafe point-of-sale server installed in the venue, over the restaurant’s own local network. Without that server — and a restaurant account — they have no menu, no tables and no orders to show. The recording below was made against a live server so the whole flow is visible end to end.

laTable

iPad · guest table

Pairs to one table with a 6-letter code, then shows that restaurant’s menu. Guests add dishes to a cart and send the order straight to the kitchen, call a waiter or ask for the bill.

laBoard

iPad · staff

The order screen for the floor. Shows every table with an open order in real time, plus waiter calls and bill requests as they arrive. Staff confirm cash and close tables here.

laWaiter

iPhone · waiter

The waiter opens a shift and gets a loud alert for every new order, call and bill request, acknowledged with one tap.

Reviewer access

We can set up a point-of-sale server reachable from outside the venue and send pairing codes, or walk through the apps on a screen-sharing call the same day. Write to hello@lacafe.app.
